The Blackberry Pearl 9100 is the latest advanced device that is slated for a 2010 release.

Research In Motion had an excellent year in 2009, and is looking to continue that success well into 2010. As the manufacturer of blackberries, the latest must have advanced cellular device, they have many waiting to see what it is that they have next for their customer base. They saw great success in 2009 with the release of the Blackberry Storm 2, Blackberry Tour, Blackberry Curve 2, and the Blackberry Bold 9700. With the Blackberry Tour 2 on the horizon, many are pleased with what’s to come, but they are also questioning when RIM is going to release the update to its most popular advanced email heavy cellular device in the Blackberry Pearl.

Fortunately for the fans of the Blackberry Pearl, their long anticipated update is on its way in 2010. Many photos and feature leaks have hit the Internet, showing off the Blackberry Pearl 9100, the newest Blackberry Pearl. This incredible and petite looking email focused device is slated for a GSM release. Many have raved about its looks, as it has kept the Suretype keyboard, but abandoned the trackball in favor of a trackpad much like the Blackberry Bold 9700 and upcoming Blackberry Tour 2.

The original Blackberry Pearl was a huge hit, and was a game changer of sorts for Research In Motion. By packing its excellent email software system into a cute and small, yet gender neutral design, the Pearl served as a great cell phone option for those that wanted email without the bulk that comes with a full keyboard. While the original version came in a multitude of colors, the Blackberry Pearl 9100 has only been seen in black. One would have to guess though that come release time, there will at least be one or two more color options.

For many, the suretype keyboard on the Blackberry Pearl was perfect, while many had difficulty adjusting to it. However, it enabled Research In Motion to create an advanced cellular device that could fit nicely in one’s pocket or purse, and look fashionable using it. The Blackberry Pearl 9100 is said to be even smaller and thinner, which makes it even more desirable for the average consumer. With data becoming a high priority, and more commonplace worldwide, you can bet that the Blackberry Pearl 9100 will be Research In Motion’s best selling device yet!
